Evalice -- Chapter THREE

"Wake up..."
He opened his eyes, staring up into a dark infinity. There was nothing anywhere. There was no sound, no light, nothing. He looked down, he wasn't blind, he could see himself, but there was nothing. He shouted out into the darkness; he wasn't deaf either.
Suddenly there was a flash and he could see stars, an infinity of stars. A planet far below. Was he in space? No, he couldn't be.
There was another flash and everything was dark again.
"Wake up..." the voice came again, childlike.
"I'm awake!" he called back into the silence. After what felt like minutes, the voice returned.
"Nobody is awake."

Breaking The SurfaceAs I breathe in this air

Painful memories flooding back into consciousness
As another synapse breaks.

Well, yes. Have you seen the ridiculously generic album covers a lot of these new bands are putting out? This is shit I could have done on mspaint when I was 13! I can't think of any particulars now, but look through the metal section of any specialty music store and you should find a few examples defining exactly what I mean.
